Brussel Sprouts

With Marsala Wine and Balsamic Vinegar

In a large pan cook diced bacon. Drain grease, place bacon on paper towel. Add 1 T olive oil and sautee onion and garlic until tender. About 2-3 mins.

Add wine to hot pan and deglaze, scraping bottom of pan, add a little more if needed, and put Brussel Sprouts in pan with onion, simmer for a couple of minutes, stirring regularly, add bacon and balsamic vinegar.

Continue to simmer on low-medium heat for approximately 5 minutes until leaves are tender. Season with a little bit of pepper if desired.

Serves 2-4

Units Ingredients
1 lb Brussel Sprouts- Cut off ends and cut in half, taking off leaves to inner core. Set aside in medium bowl.
4 strips bacon
2 cloves chopped garlic
1 cups diced yellow onion
½ cups Marsala wine
1 T Traditional balsamic vinegar
